I am a lifelong resident of St. Marys, Pa. I am married to Mike and have two sons, David and Devin. After graduating from St. Marys Area High School, I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania majoring in Business.

In February 1989, I went to work for Ruth L. Squires Realty as a Sales Associate and worked with Ruth until May 2008 when Ruth retired. While working with Ruth I learned that honesty and integrity were qualities that buyers and sellers looked for in choosing a Real Estate Agent.

On September 29, 2008 Elk County Real Estate, LLC opened its doors. We are dedicated to working with buyers and sellers to help them through the real estate process from start to finish.

A native of Elk County , I have earned a B.A. in English from Gannon University and a M.Ed. from Gannon as well as a second Master’s degree from Mansfield University in 2003. I earned my real estate license in 1988, and began working for Ruth L. Squires Realty in Saint Marys. After marrying Randy, and having my daughter, Mandy, I continued to enjoy working part-time for Squires Realty. Personal attention and a “sense of urgency” were stressed in our office, and we were trained to always listen carefully to the needs of our clients. Following Ruth’s retirement this year, I was excited to learn that an office co-worker, Leah Whiteman, had decided to open her own office, Elk County Real Estate, after earning her broker’s license. I knew this was the right fit for me….a place where I could continue to interact with my clients in a trusting, professional environment!

Barb and Dick have one son, Jason who is an architect with L.Robert Kimball and Associates. Barb enjoys family time, volunteering, gardening, decorating, antiquing and selling real estate! Barb strives to become a better Realtor every day through education and service. She has recently completed all required broker courses and courses for her ASR (Accredited Sellers’ Representative). Personal:

As a lifetime resident of St. Marys, I have a strong commitment to serving the area. To me it is very important to give back to the communities, as well as to promote growth. For this reason I am very involved in many volunteer activities in Elk County. I enjoy helping and serving others. Along with a strong passion for houses and architecture, Real Estate is a great way to combine these interests. I attended the main campus of Penn State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and studied architecture. In addition to being a licensed Realtor I am a Regional Fundraiser for the American Red Cross.
